We hope to meet you soon and have you join our group and reconnect with your sisters in Alpha Phi.

Remember, Alpha Phi merely BEGINS in college.. but it lasts your entire LIFETIME!
Get involved now... we are waiting for you!

Dear Alpha Phi Sisters,
I am honored to be the second president of Greater Tulsa Area Alumnae of Alpha Phi. I will never be able to thank Cheri enough for the effort she put into this alumnae group. She has been an inspiration.
I was not the “ideal” collegiate nor was I involved as an alum until I moved back to Oklahoma. I am a great example of how it is possible to reconnect with Alpha Phi at any stage in your life. I had not gone to anything Alpha Phi for fourteen years! I went to my first GTAAP event before I even moved to Tulsa! I was new in town, married, and a full time mom to a toddler when I started attending GTAAP events regularly. Maybe this was a way to reconnect in Tulsa, my childhood hometown? I really enjoy meeting our diverse group. I know I have made friends with some women I would have not met otherwise. I got more interested gradually. I think it started with a suggestion about participating in the HeartWalk. Suddenly I was given the task of organizing our HeartWalk team. And one thing led to another. Before I knew it I was meeting with Cheri to write our applications for convention 2006 awards. It seemed to take us forever because of all the accomplishments of our group. And it paid off with the Excellence in External Operations and Platinum Level Alpha Phi Alumnae Chapter awards.
I was sold on Alpha Phi alumnae activities after attending initiation at OU last spring. I really want to have a healthy alumnae chapter to support the Alpha Phi Foundation and be there waiting to welcome those women when they graduate! I hope this group can continue to thrive so we can be here for the next Alpha Phi who moves to town or enters a part of her life when she needs her sisters.
An alumnae chapter cannot stay healthy without a strong and motivated Executive Committee. And I think we have one! Our new Executive Committee met for the first time in June for our officer transition retreat and to plan our goals and events for the 2007-2008 academic year. We have some fun events planned for 2007-2008 and there is a rumor that Panhellenic has a very special event premiering next spring. This is a great time to get involved. We hope to provide you with a fun year of events and a lifetime of sisterhood.
I know that our monthly social events might not fit into your schedule. We prefer to see you at events, but if you cannot attend, you can still support your local alumnae chapter by paying local and Alpha Phi International dues. And remember, you are welcome to any of our social events regardless of your dues-paying status.
Thank you for visiting our website. I hope we will see your photo on here soon!
AOE,
